Small but nice place to stay for a couple of days. There is a beach not too far, like a 3 minute walk. Very nice service, even recommended places to visit. 10/10 will come again.

This is a family owned motel and very well taken care of with a retro vibe. The pool area is great and has plenty of seating as well as outdoor grills. It's 1.5 blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to the boardwalk. Very pleased, I will book again! ☺Very clean, the proprietor is on site and always friendly and accommodating. The pool was perfectly sized and clean, although my itinerary was too busy to enjoy the water at this time. The location was perfect and accessible by walk to the beach or bay, restaurants, parks, or a short drive to shopping, attractions and Cape May. ☹Nothing was disappointing!

It was a nice place to stay for a one night get away. ☺There was no breakfast offered. The location was good. It was close to the beach and we enjoy staying in Wildwood Crest as it is a bit less congested. ☹The motel is cute but is dated. The room felt a bit tight with the 2 full sized beds and small pull-out futon.

100% the best place we’ve stayed at wildwood. It is 1 block from the beach. The rooms/ bathrooms are super nice and CLEAN! that was the biggest thing my wife was worried about was cleanliness, and the place is spotless. Beautiful pool. Family owned. This will be our wildwood spot from here on out

The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can tell she truly cares about the property. She was proud to show me her beautiful garden ( Dahlias and zinnias) which added a personal and charming touch to my stay. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place with genuine hospitality, I would definitely recommend staying here. It was a short walk to the beach and convenient parking. Parfait motel pour un voyage dans le temps, année 50,60 ! L'endroit est propre et calme. Les propriétaires sont très gentils travaillant.la literie est propre ils fournissent tout ce dont nous avons besoin. La piscine est entretenu à tous les jours. La plage est proche, à une rue. C'est notre quatrième séjour et nous y retournerons l'année prochaine c'est sûr 😎👍

Quelle belle vacances 😎 ☺Avec ce motel c' est un retour sur les années 60 . Très chaleureux,calme, propre. Le personnel accueillant,des propriétaires dévoué.les lit très confortable et la literie très propre.la piscine est entretenu à tous les jours. À une rue de la plage. C'était notre quatrième séjour et nous y retournerons l'année prochaine 😉 ☹Pour nous toute était ok 👍

As the pictures depict, there is a full size fridge, a small microwave, and a coffee maker and two mugs but .....you need to bring your own coffee and plastic utensils and paper plates and napkins/paper towels. Seachest is very clean you can smell how clean your room is as soon as you step into it,very friendly owners and other guests, pool is always clean and refreshing, beds are comfortable,air conditioning works well, we have been staying at this place for over 20 years we highly recommend it and it is 2 blocks from the beach we have a great time every time that we go.

Surprisingly Relaxing for Peak Summer I usually judge places by whether I’m irritated after the first hour, and honestly… this trip was easy. No loud chaos outside the room at night, no fighting for parking, no weird smells, no broken random stuff you have to call about. Just a clean place in a really good part of Wildwood Crest where everything felt low-stress. The beach access is quick, but the area itself feels calmer than the center of Wildwood, which ended up being the best part of staying here. Also appreciated that the pool area never felt rowdy even when it was busy. Families, couples, people grilling, everyone just kind of doing their thing. It felt more like staying at someone’s well-kept shore property than a typical motel.

okay the Sea Chest Motel in Wildwood Crest is genuinely so underrated it's criminal. the rooms were spotless, the beds were so comfy, and the beach is basically right outside your door -- like location could not be more perfect. the staff remembered our names which honestly made me feel so seen lol. the whole vibe is retro Jersey Shore but actually charming?? we had the BEST time and i'm already planning a return trip. if you're sleeping on this place, wake up.

Stayed with our two kids and ended up using the outdoor space way more than expected. The BBQ grills were a big plus--we cooked a few dinners instead of going out every night, which made things easier and cheaper. There were plenty of spots to sit outside, so we didn't feel stuck in the room.

Low-Friction Stay That Doesn’t Waste Your Time Stayed at Sea Chest Motel solo and the biggest difference was how efficient everything felt. No long check-in, no confusion, no unnecessary steps—just straightforward. Being in Wildwood Crest, I could move between the beach, food spots, and back to the room without planning anything out. What stood out right away at Sea Chest Motel was how quiet it felt, especially being so close to everything in Wildwood Crest. With three kids, I expected noise and chaos, but it was calm enough at night that everyone actually slept without issues. The cleanliness was noticeable the entire stay. Not just when we checked in--everything stayed consistently clean, from the room to the pool area at Sea Chest Motel. It didn't have that worn-down feel you get at a lot of shore motels.

Exactly What a Wildwood Family Trip Should Feel Like Traveling with three kids is never simple, but Sea Chest Motel made it feel easy. The room was spotless, spacious enough for all five of us, and had everything we needed without feeling cramped. The pool was a lifesaver—my kids practically lived in it while we relaxed nearby. The beach being so close meant we could go back and forth without packing up half the house. This place just gets what families need.

Kids Loved It, Parents Approved If the kids are happy, the trip works. And they loved everything about Sea Chest Motel. Pool time, quick walks to the beach with easy access made every day simple. Sometimes it's nice to stay at a location that isn't all advanced and high tech! ☺ The facility may be vintage and Wildwood "old school" but it was clean, comfortable, safe and affordable. The owner (Jim) who checked us in was friendly and helpful. A good choice for our stay. While we didn't use it, the swimming pool was clean and nice. Various restaurants are available in the area. ☹ Nothing that we really didn't like.

My favorite most impressive part of our vacation was the Sea Chest's Owners, they are a very, very friendly and welcoming!!! ☹ Wish we had stayed longer!

Great value ☺ The rooms, pool and grounds were super clean and well cared for. The beds were very comfortable and supportive. The proximity to the beach was great and there were nice common areas with tables and umbrellas. The shower had very good pressure with lots of hot water. ☹ Our room did not have a light over the kitchen area, but they are adding lights and outlets room by room.

Perfect little family vacation spot! Family owned staff keep everything very nice and clean. We celebrated our 6YO birthday here and will definitely come back again. Out door cooking area and pool kept the kids busy, short walk to the beach and just close enough to all the attractions. The owners are very hard working and ensure you have a pleasant stay!
